Seven Minutes That Change Everything.

Existing meditation apps are shallow. They lack the depth and authenticity of real practice. Spiritual wisdom deserved better design.

02// Context
Note · 01

Mental health apps have a retention problem: 96% of users churn within the first month. The reason is almost always the same — the app requires too much intention. It works when you're motivated; it disappears when you're not. The design challenge was building a product that worked for users in their lowest-motivation state.

Note · 02

Sadhguru's teachings are deep, specific, and transformative — but they are not designed for a 30-second attention span. The content design challenge was creating an entry point that honours the depth of the practice while meeting users where they are: tired, distracted, and looking for something quick that actually works.

03// What was designed
01

7-Minute Morning Flow

Designed the daily practice flow — a guided sequence that delivers genuine value in 7 minutes without feeling rushed or incomplete.

02

AI Content Delivery

Built the UX for 100k vectorized teachings — intelligent content selection that surfaces the right Sadhguru teaching at the right moment.

03

Habit Architecture

Designed the streak and progress system — motivational structures that build long-term practice without manipulative dark patterns.

04

Guided Sessions

Created the immersive audio session interface — full-screen environments, progress tracking, and interruption-free focus states.

05

Content Library

Designed the searchable teaching library — 40+ years of wisdom made navigable through intelligent categorization and personalized recommendations.

06

Onboarding Journey

Built the new user onboarding — a gentle introduction to the practice that respects the depth of the tradition while meeting users where they are.

// Section 01

Habit-First Session Design

The session experience was designed to be predictable — same entry point, same duration, same ending ritual every day. Predictability is a feature for habit formation, not a limitation. I designed the session flow with a three-act structure: a 60-second preparation phase that disconnects from the day, a 5-minute core practice, and a 1-minute integration phase that bridges back to activity. Users who completed the integration phase were 3x more likely to return the following day.

// Section 02

Content Discovery at Depth

After a user establishes a daily practice, the product needed to grow with them — surfacing deeper teachings without disrupting the ritual. I designed a content layer that only appears post-session: a single "go deeper" card, contextually matched to the session just completed. The card is never presented before or during practice — only in the integration phase when the user is receptive. This approach kept the primary 7-minute experience clean while making 40 years of teaching accessible to users who were ready for it.
